I’ve always been an introvert – I spent most of my childhood by myself reading and spending a lot of time around people can often be draining. It’s (almost never) the other people around me but rather that it takes so much energy for me to constantly be on and engaged. It also took me a really long time to be okay with being alone and doing things by myself. I love seeing movies and just starting going to the movies by myself; I also spend a lot of time sitting and writing in coffee shops.

Walking dogs and pet sitting has honestly been an incredible job for me over the past few months because as draining as it is to be around people, there’s just something amazingly wonderful about being around animals. There are almost no expectations from animals for constant conversation or anything other than a walk, food, and some affection. It hasn’t been a truly stable position but it’s all been worth it.
